What Twitter Tells Us About Our Friends
I’ve been doing a bit of investigatory journalism (aka internet stalking) of my band mates and I’ve come across some startling revelations. Just when you think you know someone, you find out who they’re following on Twitter. Here’s a few highlights:
Eric – Good Morning America, Heidi Montag, Paul Pierce and John McCain. For a guy that hates Boston sports and was wearing an Obama t-shirt to bed last night, this is just bizarre.
Chad – Christopher Walken (awesome), Tila Tequila (hang on… shocking!), Shaq and John Mayer.
Fighty – OAR (wait for it…. shocker!!), Neil Diamond, Steve Buscemi and Dave Mathews. Yup, that pretty much encapsulates Fighty.
Todd – I don’t think Todd even knows that he’s on Twitter.
Moral of the story is that you should stalk the hell out of everyone you know just to be sure they aren’t weirdos. And no, stalking them does not make you a weirdo.
EDIT: Fightmaster suggested I should list the people I would follow if I had a Twitter account. Well, that’s easy:
Tino – Nick Cage, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Lou Diamond Phillips, John Turturro and possibly David Faustino.
