SHAVE THE DATE: Just the Tip at Terminal 5 on Dec 7th
This is the big one, folks. Desmond’s Tavern can officially shampoo my crotch. We are excited to announce that Just the Tip has been asked to play this year’s NYC Movember Gala at Terminal 5. While I’m certain that everyone is at least in some way familiar with Movember, let me tell you that it involves more than just growing a mustache and pretending to be Burt Reynolds for a month (although that’s a HUGE part of it). No, Movember is a legitimate, respected charity raising money for important causes such as prostate and testicular cancer.
Take a moment and look around you. Look to your left. Now look to your right. Chances are every woman you just saw has testicular cancer right now. That’s how serious this is. Luckily, you can do something about it. Head over to the Movember site and pick up a $10 ticket to see Just the Tip at Terminal 5, and support Movember.
This is going to be a huge event at a huge venue, featuring a band that has considered itself to be huge since 2006. There will be prizes awarded for best costumes, best stashes and other fun contests. Everyone in the band will be rocking some type of mustache, except for John who apparently has yet to hit puberty. Seriously, I have 9-year-old Italian female cousins with more mustache hair than John. I digress. Be sure to check the Movember site for complete details. We’ll see you there!
